Report an Issue with NetID Account

If you are experiencing issues with your NetID account, you can report the problem for assistance. Common NetID-related issues include:

  • Login failures when trying to access MySAIL, Sail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or other university services.
  • Expired NetID accounts for former students, staff, or faculty.
  • Locked accounts due to multiple incorrect login attempts.
  • Access issues to university resources linked to your NetID.

If you are a former student, staff, or faculty member who left before July 2022, you may need to Reactivate your NetID instead of reporting an issue. If you left after July 2022, your NetID should still be active.

Who is Eligible?

Current and former students, faculty, and staff with an active or expired NetID. 

Prerequisites and Expectations

Before reporting an issue, try resetting your NetID password at netid.oakland.edu. Provide details about the issue, including error messages or screenshots if possible.
