DegreeWorks provides Oakland University faculty, staff, and academic advisors with access to DegreeWorks for degree audits, academic advising, and student progress tracking. Service offerings include user access requests and the promotion of Scribe block updates from the test environment to production.
- DegreeWorks User Access Request – Allows faculty, staff, and academic advisors to request access to DegreeWorks based on their roles. Access levels vary from view-only to advisor-level and administrative permissions. Requests are reviewed by the Registrar’s Office and the Enterprise Applications team to ensure appropriate access.
- DegreeWorks Scribe Block Promotion to Production – Enables authorized DegreeWorks administrators and staff to request the deployment of updated or newly created Scribe blocks from the test environment to production. Scribe blocks define degree audit rules and requirements, ensuring accurate tracking of student progress. Requests must include specific block details, a summary of changes, and confirmation of successful testing. The Enterprise Applications team reviews and schedules the promotion.
