Creating Your NetID With Your Grizzly ID

  • To access computer resources at Oakland University, you need a NetID and password.
  • In order to create your NetID account, you need to know your Grizzly ID number (which is given to you within your admission letter) and have created a PIN for your account.
  • If you do not have your admission letter on hand, a Grizzly ID release form can be requested at this page in our portal. Complete the form and a Technology Center Technician will reach out to complete the process.
  • You may also call the OU Technology Center at (248) 370-4357 or the Registrar's Office at (248) 370-3450.

Creating Your NetID Account

  1. Navigate to https://netid.oakland.edu/profile/.
  2. On this page click on "Create NetID Account".
  3. On the next page click "Continue".
  4. Click the "Grizzly ID Number" field and enter your Grizzly ID.
  5. Enter your 6-digit PIN you created/reset and click submit, you can then choose your NetID and set your NetID Password according to the password guidelines.
