Create NetID Account

A NetID account is required for incoming students, faculty, and staff to access essential Oakland University services, including:

  • Sail (employee records, tax documents, pay stubs, etc.)
  • MySAIL (student portal)
  • DegreeWorks (for students to track academic progress)
  • eBill (for students to manage tuition payments)
  • Email (Google Gmail)
  • Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Returning users who left OU before July 2022 must create a new NetID instead of reactivating their old one.

Who is Eligible?

Incoming students, faculty, and staff, or returning students, faculty, and staff who left before July 2022 and are rejoining the university.

Prerequisites and Expectations

Users must have an active relationship with the university to create a NetID account.
