grizznet is legacy wireless network on Oakland University’s campus. Communication on this wireless network is not encrypted and its use is discouraged. This wireless network will be discontinued as we work to resolve special use cases for labs and other educational needs.

How to Connect to grizznet

  1. Connect to the appropriate wireless network
  2. You should be redirected to ClearPass's Captive Portal

ClearPass Captive Portal

  • Note: If you are not automatically redirected to ClearPass's Captive Portal, use a browser to go to Oakland's website. You should be redirected from there

  1. At the Network Registration screen, enter you OU NetID and password and press the Log In button

Log into ClearPass Captive Portal

  1. At the Register Device screen, enter a Device Name for your device (if desired), your email address, and press the Create Device button​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Enter your device details

  • Note: "Email Address" may be shown instead of "Sponsor's Email". This is the same field. 
  1. Your device should now be registered
