This service offering allows users to request access to a personal vault for securely managing their own passwords and sensitive information, or to a shared department vault for collaborative storage and management of passwords and data used by multiple team members. The personal vault ensures individual security and privacy, while the shared vault facilitates secure, controlled access to common resources within a department. Users can also request modifications to existing vaults to add or remove users from shared vaults.
Student employee access to 1Password is evaluated on a case by case basis. In order to request access for a student employee please include the student's name, NetID, access end date, and business case as to why access is needed.
Supervisors are responsible for ensuring student access to 1Password is removed upon employment separation.
Who is eligible?
Active faculty, staff, and student employees.
Prerequisites and Expectations
When the request is approved, instructions will be sent via email to setup 1Password for the first time.
