If you have legally changed your name, and updated your new name with the University, your NetID and email address can be updated to match your new legal name.
All existing email, contacts, groups, and related data will remain intact after the change.
Who is Eligible?
Students, faculty, staff, and alumni with an active NetID who have completed a legal name change through the appropriate university office.
- Students can update their legal name change with the Office of the Registrar.
- Faculty and staff can update their legal name change with University Human Resources.
Prerequisites and Expectations
In order to change your NetID, you must first update your legal name with the University. If your legal name change is not reflected in University systems, your NetID name change request may be denied.
