Temporary Data Backup

University Technology Services (UTS) offers temporary data backup services for university-owned devices that are being re-imaged, repaired, or upgraded. Use this service to request a temporary backup of your data.

Who is Eligible?

Faculty, staff, and student employees with a university-owned device.

Prerequisites and Expectations

Once a request is submitted, the OU Help Desk will assist, in-person or remotely, in backing up the data from the requested device. Users are expected to specify any data that is outside of the default backup locations specified in the Temporary Data Backup Policy.
