Request a Desk Phone Move

This service allows users to request the physical relocation of an existing University desk phone to a different room or building. This service also ensures that the phone’s new location is accurately updated with Oakland University Police Department (OUPD) for 911 purposes, allowing first responders to quickly locate the caller in an emergency.

Who is Eligible?

Active faculty and staff assigned a desk phone in their office space.

Prerequisites and Expectations

Upon submission, a technician will be dispatched to the specified location to physically move the device if necessary. University Technology Services (UTS) will forward the phone's new location information to OUPD for 911 records.
