IT Review of Technology Software (Apps, AI, Cloud & Hosted Solutions)

This service ensures that software purchases comply with university policies, licensing agreements, and security standards. Users can submit a request to obtain approval for software needed to support academic, administrative, or research activities.

Who is Eligible?

Faculty, Staff and Departments who need software in support academic, administrative, or research activities.

Prerequisites and Expectations

The request will be reviewed by the IT Business Operations team partners with the Legal office to evaluate the software’s compatibility, licensing terms, and data security requirements. It is then forwarded to the University Purchasing department for final purchase. Upon approval, the OU Technology Center can assist with the software installation process.

This service helps streamline software procurement while maintaining compliance and protecting university resources. Users should include details about the software, intended use, and any supporting documentation when submitting their request such as end user license agreement (EULA).
