Remote Desktop (RDP)

Remote Desktop (Windows App on macOS) allows university users to connect to their on-campus Windows computers from off-site on another device. Connections require GrizzVPN, and computers can be accessed by IP address or by fully qualified domain name (FQDN), such as KL202HELP10.kl.oakland.edu.

Who is Eligible?

University faculty, staff, and student employees with access to on-campus computers.

Prerequisites and Expectations

  • You must connect to GrizzVPN when accessing computers via Remote Desktop. See how to connect to GrizzVPN here: GrizzVPN Instructions
  • You need the computer's IP address or FQDN (full name) to connect.
