Use this service to submit a request for University Technology Services (UTS) assistance with a technology investment, including a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), new software or cloud service, technology renewal, or other vendor-supported technology purchase.
Submitting this intake form helps UTS identify the appropriate review, procurement, security, privacy, accessibility, technical, and contractual considerations before the University commits to a solution.
Who is Eligible?
All active faculty and staff may submit a Technology Investment Intake Form.
Prerequisites and Expectations
Complete the form as thoroughly as possible. Information provided in the intake form helps UTS understand:
- The business need or problem the technology is intended to address
- The requested timeline, funding source, and anticipated cost
- Whether the request is for a new purchase, renewal, replacement, expansion, or competitive solicitation
- The types of University data that may be collected, stored, processed, or shared
- Expected users, integrations, technical requirements, and implementation needs
- Vendor information, if a vendor or product has already been identified
- Accessibility, privacy, security, contractual, and compliance considerations
The form is designed to gather the information needed to begin an RFQ, RFP, procurement consultation, or technology review. Depending on the request, additional information or documentation may be required, such as a vendor quote, statement of work, contract, security documentation, data-use details, integration specifications, or an accessibility conformance report/VPAT.
UTS will review the request and work with the requestor and appropriate University partners to determine the next steps.
