Troubleshooting
When logging into a system that uses Microsoft authentication (such as Office 365 (https://www.office.com/), or support.oakland.edu), you may encounter the following error:
"Your organization doesn't allow you to update your password on this site. Please update it according to the method recommended by your organization, or ask your admin if you need help."

This error occurs because your NetID password is not correctly synced with Microsoft and needs to be reset. All NetID password changes must be completed at netid.oakland.edu. Until the password is updated using that tool, you will not be able to sign in to services that use Microsoft for authentication, including the Self-Service Support Center (support.oakland.edu).
Guide
To resolve this issue, follow the steps to reset your NetID password in the article: NetID Password Reset.
