Update Approvals
Oakland University hosts an on-premises Windows Updates server (updates02.oakland.edu) for the ADMNET domain. This server is responsible for approving updates for the following products:
- Windows 10, 11, and Server-based OS'
- Microsoft Office 2019, 2021, and 2024
The update server is configured on all workstations through the UTS: WSUS Behavior Group Policy Object and is linked at the root of the ADMNET domain.
Devices on our new AD domain will have updates approved and managed through Intune Update Rings, a cloud-based solution.
