Using Update Server
The update server is https://updates02.oakland.edu:8531
This should be pushed out to all ADMNET domain-joined computers. Update configuration can be customized via group policy by creating a UTS ticket.

Configure automatic updating: 3 - Auto download and notify for install The following settings are only required and applicable if 4 is selected. Install during automatic maintenance Disabled Scheduled install day: 0 - Every day Scheduled install time: 03:00
Connecting non Domain Computers
Requires:
- local admin privileges
- Wired on-campus network connection
Steps:
- From the run dialog box, run 'gpedit.msc'
- From Local Computer Policy navigate to Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Windows Update. Open Specify Intranet Microsoft update service location.
- Click the Enabled radio button, and enter 'https://updates02.oakland.edu:8531' for both Set the intranet update service for detecting updates and the Set the intranet statistics server fields. Click OK
- (optional) To configure automatic updates, select configure automat updates from Local Group Policy Editor. Click Enabled, and then select an automatic update setting.
- (optional) to run immediate update run 'cmd wuauclt.exe /detectnow' from an elevated command line.
How to Check for Updates (Windows 11)
- Open the Start Menu from the bottom-left corner of the screen.

- Search for "Updates" and click the "Check for Updates" search result.

- Click the "Install All" button to install the latest updates.
