Changing Preferred Name / Address in SAIL

This article explains how to update your preferred name and address in the SAIL system at Oakland University.

Changing Preferred Name / Address in SAIL

  1. Navigate to https://mysail.oakland.edu

  2. Click the icon with the three "lines" on the upper-left corner of the page.

  3. Expand the "Student Resources" drop-down --> Click "Personal Information"

Click the "Edit" button in the upper-right corner of the "Personal Details" website to edit your "Preferred Name".
If you would like to update your street address, click the "Pencil" icon under your "Primary Address".
