This article provides troubleshooting and installation instructions for resolving issues with Oracle ODBC drivers using uninstallation, manual install, or local install methods.

ODBC Driver Troubleshooting Steps
If you have previously run the legacy ODBC installer script from \\shares

Run uninstaller
- Determine the version of ODBC installed. replace user12c64 with your version
- Unmap M: drive from this PC
- open CMD as administrator and run the following commands

net use M: \\shares\oraclient_user12c64 /User:ADMNET\yourUserName
- pushd \\shares\oraclient_user12c64
- setup\user12c64_uninstall_oraclient.bat (this will reboot you)
2. Use Regedit to remove the oracle directory from HKEY_Local_machine\Software
Install Manual Process (M Drive Mapped Process)

Determine the version of ODBC installed. replace user12c64 with your version

Unmap M: drive from this PC
- open CMD as administrator and run the following commands

net use M: \\shares\oraclient_user12c64 /User:ADMNET\yourUserName
- pushd \\shares\oraclient_user12c64
- setup\user12c64_install_oraclient.bat (this will reboot you)
If you receive an error here open a ticket.
Install Local Process (Local Copy Process)

open PowerShell as administrator

run (with quotes) "\\admnet.oakland.edu\SysVol\admnet.oakland.edu\Policies\{D36885EC-B4A5-446D-A6AB-BEC91D7A04FD}\Machine\Scripts\Shutdown\orainstall.ps1"
- Open ODBC Data sources and confirm the System DNS are working properly
