Apporto Virtual Labs Information

The Oakland University Virtual Computer labs make software and compute resources available to students through a web browser. Up to 75 users can use this service at the same time.

How to Connect

From any device with a web browser, go to https://oakland.apporto.com/ and log with your NetID. Select the software you want to run.

Signing Into Power Bi Desktop

1. Launch Power BI Desktop

Open the Power BI Desktop application on your computer.

2. Locate the Sign-In Button

Once the application is open:

Look at the top right corner of the screen.

Click the Sign in button. If you are already signed in with a different account, click the account name and select Sign in as a different user.

3. Enter Your Credentials

A Microsoft sign-in dialog box will appear:

Email: Enter your full Oakland University email address

Password: You will be redirected to Oakland University's login page. Enter your password.
- If you receive an error message, please see the linked KB for instructions on how to reset your password.

You may be sent a notification on DUO for MFA.

When prompted if you would like to sign everywhere or just this app, click No, this app only
