Grizzly ID PIN Creation and Reset

How to reset your Grizzly ID PIN and set up a security question/answer. Grizzly ID PIN is needed to Net ID password resets.

Procedure

Obtain Your Grizzly ID

• Your Grizzly ID can be found on MySAIL or your official admission letter 
• Complete a grizzly ID release form 
• Contact the OU Technology Center at (248) 370-4357 or Registrar's Office at (248) 370-3450 to release over the telephone

Grizzly PIN Creation

1. Navigate to https://netid.oakland.edu
2. Click Reset Grizzly ID PIN 
3. Click Grizzly ID field and enter your Grizzly ID (G00xxxxxx) with a capital "G"
4. Enter your Date of Birth in the MM/DD/YEAR format
5. Click First Name field and enter your legal first name
6. Click Last Name field and enter your legal last name
7. Check the "I'm not a robot" box on the CAPTCHA and press Submit
8. Click the Select or Answer Question field and press Submit
9. To se up the security question, click the drop down box and select a question
10. Click the Hint Answer field and enter the answer and click Submit (NOTE: The answer is case sensitive)
11. Click New PIN field and enter a 6-digit PIN
12. Click Verify New PIN and enter the previous 6-digit PIN
13. Click Submit and your pin has been created

Grizzly ID PIN Reset

1. Navigate to https://netid.oakland.edu
2. Click Reset your Grizzly ID PIN
3. Click on the Grizzly ID field and enter our Grizzly ID
   • Enter your Grizzly ID with a capital "G"
4. Enter your date of birth in the field
   • Use the MM/DD/YEAR format when entering your date of birth
5. Click First Name field and enter your legal first name
6. Click Last Name field and enter your legal last name
7. Click the "I'm not a Robot" box on the CAPTCHA and press Submit
8. Select the option Section or Answer Question and press Submit
9. Enter the answer to the question (The answer is case sensitive)
10. To set up your security question for the first time select a question from the drop-down box Please select a PIN Hint question.
11. Click the Hint Answer and type in the answer, then click Submit
12. Click the New PIN field and enter a 6-digit PIN (Only 6 numbers)
13. Click Verify New PIN field and enter the same PIN as the previous step
14. Click Submit button and your PIN has been reset or created
