Azure Dev Tools for Education puts professional developer tools, software, and cloud computing resources from Microsoft in the hands of faculty and students. Microsoft offers $100 (USD) in Azure credit for students, along with access to free Azure services. Students can sign up for the Azure for Students offer without needing a credit card.

Access to Azure Credits
The Azure Student Offer from Microsoft provides for up to $100 in credits that can be used for development tools, and cloud computing resources. Students can verify their academic status without needing to enter additional credit card information.
To verify your academic status, please take the following steps:
- Navigate to the Azure for Students offer page and click the “Start free” button. If prompted, sign-in with your Oakland University email account and password.
- On the “Academic Verification” page, enter your first and last name, street address, ZIP code, date of birth, school email address, and verify your phone number.
- Click the “Sign Up” button.
