This article explains how to set up your Oakland University email and calendar on an iPhone using your NetID and password.
Who is Eligible?
Active Faculty, Staff, and Students
Information:
Before setting up your OU account on your iPhone, you will need to enable IMAP in your Google Webmail settings
- Login to your OU email account and click the Gear in the top right corner.
- In the drop-down menu, click “See all settings.”
- Click on the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab.
- In the IMAP Access section, click the radio button to Enable IMAP.
Once you have enabled IMAP, you will sync your OU email and calendar to your iPhone with the steps below
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Scroll down and select “Accounts & Passwords.”
- Tap “Add Account” and then choose Google.
- Type in your Oakland University email address with “@oakland.edu.”
- You will need to tap “ACCEPT” and then be redirected to an Oakland University login page.
- Enter your NetID and Password and tap “SIGN IN.”
- Approve the DUO push request if needed (Current Faculty & Staff).
