Information:

Before Setting Up Your OU Account On Your Android Phone, You Will Need To Confirm That You Have Enabled IMap In Your Google Webmail Settings

  1. Login to your OU email account and click the “Gear in the top right corner.”
  2. In the drop-down menu, click “Settings.”
  3. Click on the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab.
  4. In the “IMAP Access” section, click the radio button to “Enable IMAP.”

Once You Have Enabled IMap, You Will Sync Your OU Email And Calendar To Your Android Device With The Steps Below

  1. Open the “Google” app.
  2.  In the top right, tap your profile picture.
  3.  Tap “Add another account.”
  4.  Choose the type of account you want to add.
  5.  Follow the steps on the screen to add your account.
    • Note: You may be asked to answer the password for your device if you have a password.
  6. Enter your Oakland University email address with the @oakland.edu.
  7. You will then need to tap “ACCEPT” and then you will be redirected to an Oakland University login page.
  8. Enter your “NetID and Password” and tap “SIGN IN.”
  9. You can then tap on the account in the “Users & accounts” section of the settings app to manage what items will sync to the phone.
