How To Use A Crestron Touch Screen 

Upon arriving in the classroom, the touch screen should look like this.

If the screen is blank, swipe your finger across the screen to wake it up. After you tap the touch screen, the system should start turning on. When the touch screen is on, decide which input you would like to use.


Using the PC

  1. Select the PC input on the touch screen.
  2. Make sure the PC is turned on. 
  3. In order to turn the PC on, you will need to select the highlighted power button, then you should be able to see a white light on the power button. The PC is shown to be on in the figure below.

Using the Document Camera

  1. Select Document Camera input on the touch screen.
  2. The Document Camera should automatically turn on upon input and you should see a menu page with settings for the Document Camera.

Using your laptop

  1. Select HDMI input on the touch screen.
  2. Make sure your laptop/device is connected to the HDMI cable on the desk. 
    • If your device does not have an HDMI port and requires USB-C, you can purchase a USB-C to HDMI adapter or request one from Classroom Support (248-370-2461).
  3. If the connection is successful, a green text will indicate that your device is connected to the system.
