Start a Remote Support Session

This article explains how to start a remote support session when directed by a technician. Remote support allows a technician to view and control your device temporarily to help resolve an issue.

Who is Eligible?

Faculty, staff, and students when working with an OU Tech Center IT technician.

When to Use This

  • Only join a session when instructed by an official OU Tech Center technician.
  • Never share your session code or accept remote access requests from anyone you do not know and trust.
  • Technicians can only access your device for the duration of the session. You may choose to end the session at any time.

Guide

  1. Ensure you have a stable Internet connection.
  2. Enter the session code provided by your technician in the window below.
  3. Click the gold arrow button to download the agent.
