How to Reset a Message Indicator Light

This article explains the steps to take when a customer reports that their telephone message light remains on, even though there are no messages in their voicemail queue.

How to Reset a Message Indicator Light

When a customer calls to report their telephone light remains on if there are no messages in queue, you must first;

  • Type in the telephone extension to reset the light
  • Mesage2.jpg

 

  • Select the Message Waiting Indicators from the EDIT menu

  • Click on the box and select Reset All option. You will receive a confirmation that the light has been reset.
